PRIMM VALLEY – DESERT

1 YATES WELL ROAD EXIT, NIPTON, CA 92364 – (I-15 AT CAL STATE LINE)

Course Information

The Primm Valley Golf Club Desert course at opened in May 1998 featuring desert landscaping, a stark contrast to the Lakes course. Somewhat more demanding of the player’s ability, the Desert course is 7,131 yards from the tips and par 72. The course is accented with palm and mesquite trees, cactus, and desert wildflowers which give it a true desert sensation. Where water was the primary feature used on the Lakes Course, vast stretches of waste bunkers border the fairways on seven holes of the Desert course. Water does come into play on five holes of the Desert course, narrow fairways with elevation changes, and well-bunkered large greens will test even the most skilled of golfers.

The Primm Valley Golf Club is perfect for the golfer that wants to get in 36 holes before the sun goes down. You can spend your entire day at Primm and get some of the best golf you might ever play. As long as you are making the drive, you might as well play both courses; you will be happy you did. The course is located roughly 40 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. The course seeds Rye grass from the tee boxes through the fairways. The greens are of course Bentgrass and come with severe to tricky undulations.
